A turbo blanket REDUCES under-bonnet temperatures, creating MORE usable power throughout the rev range, helping surrounding components to be more RELIABLE and helping to ACCELERATE hot gasses away from the engine. We have turbo blankets to suit both internally and externally wastegated turbos. These are also both available in either Carbon Fibre or Titanium. Both materials perform in exactly the same way, it's merely an aesthetic difference.Due to the close proximity between the two halves of the turbo, heat transfer is extremely common to occur. This can reduce performance yield whilst increasing the work of the inlet components during the combustion cycle. Funk Motorsport Turbo blankets are designed to keep the hot side of your turbo insulated whilst maintaining the cold side at optimal temperatures. This helps to provide a cooler airflow to the cooling system and MAF sensor, leading to greater ignition spark and greater power output from combustion. By ensuring the hot side of the turbine stays hot, less heat will be dissipated into the engine bay, ensuring exhaust gases flow with less turbulence out of the exhaust.
